Introducing the series our drivers have been asking for… The Masters Formula Atlantic Plus

Brought to you by special request, the Masters Formula Atlantic Plus is designed for under 2-litre race cars from the pre-1986 era that competed in Formula Atlantic, Formula Super Vee and/or Formula Two.

This new Masters series brings together a group of cars from three historic series that toured across the Atlantic pre-1979 and pre-1986. The historic Formula Atlantic, Formula Super Vee and Formula 2 series, featured iconic marques such as Brabham, Lotus, March, Chevron and Ralt. Now, these cars are brought into one new Masters series - Masters Formula Atlantic Plus.

Many Masters drivers already own eligible cars for this new series and now, there is a dedicated Masters grid to race them in! With very few US events that offer dedicated grids for this type of car, drivers often find themselves on track against much more powerful single seater cars. Now, with Masters Formula Atlantic Plus, drivers of these cars can look forward to enjoying a dedicated series with fairer competition and the opportunity to share their racing with other like-minded drivers. We are delighted that such fantastic cars can join the Masters USA family of races!

The Masters Formula Atlantic Plus series format will include 4 x 20-minute sessions per event, including two races, with rolling starts and side-by-side grids.

*Three Exciting Masters Events to Look Forward to in 2021!*
We can look forward to Californian sunshine, sandy beaches and palm trees for the very first Masters Formula Atlantic Plus race in May, at the challenging home to the famous Corkscrew chicane, WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. Fast forward to sunny July, where we will be racing at Watkins Glen International in the day and winding down at a wine festival in the beautiful Finger Lakes region by the evening. Wrapping up, our final race opportunity for the Masters Formula Atlantic Plus will be at one of North America’s fastest and finest road race courses, Road America, where drivers can join into existing run groups. With three stunning events in 2021, this dedicated grid is in for a treat in its launch year!
