Reisman romps to victory in first Masters Endurance Legends USA race at Road Atlanta

In a field depleted by rain, John Reisman made no mistake to take an emphatic win in the first Masters Endurance Legends USA race of the HSR Fall Historics event at Road Atlanta.
His Coyote Corvette DP led home the Hanna Zellers/Francesco Melandri Ligier LMP3 by a full lap.

The Daytona Prototype from the 2014 United SportsCar Championship temporarily lost the lead by stopping early for his mandatory pitstop halfway into the race, but after Reisman returned to the track he soon hit the front again, setting a fastest lap of 1.28.971 along the way.

In third overall, Scooter Gabel and Carlos de Quesada shared Gabel's powerful ex-PTG BMW E36 M3 on their way to a resounding GT class win, in the end having a lap in hand on Don Ondrejcak's ex-TRG Porsche 997 GT3 Grand-Am.

The other Coyote Corvette DP in the field, Robert Tornello's Spirit of Daytona machine that won the 2014 edition of the Six Hours at the Glen, could perhaps have posed a threat to Reisman's dominance, but Tornello spun off on lap 2, invoking the single caution period of the race. Tornello managed to get going again but finished six laps down.
